Cesar Milan puts all these warnings and stuff. He also always touches the dog and physically corrects them. Somebody will try this whatever the warning is and they will get bit.

You’re supposed to correct dogs…just not with your hand like he does. That’s why they make prong and e-collars. It’s 2009 kiddo, everything has warning labels on it because most people are idiots and somebody has done something for every warning label you see. Know why chainsaws say "Don’t stop blade with hand"? Because some genius tried it…
He is a damn good dog person and has helped many dogs over come issues. If someone tries what he does and gets bit then its there own damn fault. I don’t know why does Victoria Stilwell still have a show half the dogs she tries to help are still messed up
He makes money…
Well, I’m guessing it does have a lot to do with money and getting fast results. Fast results are what people want to see on tv. A more humane and dog friendly solution can take months before you start seeing results.
Personally I prefer slower, but more permanent and dog friendly ways to change bad behavior. If I had to choose between Milan and Stilwell I’d certainly choose the latter. In the first episode I saw with Milan he was being bitten, several times if I remember correctly. It was a small breed, like a yorkie or maltese, but I seriously doubt he would’ve used the same method on a bigger dog. And the poor dog was scared to death.
He does have a way with animals, figuring out what the problem is, but I don’t approve of his solutions. I like to believe we know to much about dog behavior these days to have to break a dog the way Milan does.
If the person is not clever enough to realise that there are warnings on the show for a reason, that person deserves to get bitten.
It is not Ceasar’s fault.
Because some people believe everything they see on tv even if its by some idiot who basis ideas on old fashioned cruel methods that are based on flawed research!
They think stringing a dog up til it collapses is fine and that kicking a dog is a good thing!

I watch his show often and there are many many positive things I can say about him. I am tired of hearing about how his ‘physical corrections,’ are cruel. I have never seen him do anything terribly cruel or at least I have never seen him do something I would not do in the same situation. (I can not speak about what happens off camera but I imagine some dogs may need a bit more corrections than others and many of the dogs he works with are pretty aggressive). I am considered a real softy when it comes to my dogs but there are times (since they both weigh over 130lbs that a quick ‘touch,’ does wonders) What I have learned from both Cesar and Victoria is that you have to do what works for the dog and you have to keep doing it. You can’t throw treats at them and expect obedience but you can get their attention that way. I have actually seen Cesar use treats when working with a particular dog but not often and there instances where a quick touch is needed to get an immediate response from your dog. You have to use the tools these two people offer. Both advocate no anger just calm assertiveness. I think Cesar has a gift with dogs that enables him to do things with dogs few others can and that is why he is still on TV.
