Most pets will love you unconditionally and expects that you will ensure it is well cared for providing proper food and shelter.
You should treat them like any other member of the family. You typically try to provide quality nourishment for your spouse and children and you should do the same for your beloved pet. So why not take the time to read the ingredients on your cat food label. Consult with Your Vet
As in the case of humans, different cats require different types of cat food containing varying proportions of nutritional elements. If you have a new cat, it would be considered a good practice to take that cat into the vet for a basic check up. Ensure that all the vaccinations are current and make sure you ask your vet about the nutritional requirements for your particular cat.
Your vet may recommend a specific brand of cat food. It is not always necessary to follow the recommendations that point to a particular brand. Sometimes the veterinarian industry will be rewarded with little perks for promoting specific brands. It is important to understand the qualities of that pet food that make it worthy of approval though.
Your vet will always consider the welfare of your pet his primary consideration.

The poor boy has many tight painful matts. He allows Catherine to handle him and clean them up. He has had his flea and heart worm medication, also a liberal dose of polysporon to keep him going! Enjoying a small feast of cat food and tuna. We love him!
